Industrial Slicers & Dicers

An industrial dicer cuts a block or log of product into cubes, strips or shreds of a consistent size. The product is loaded into a channel or magazine and pushed forward against a cutting grid, which cuts it lengthways into bars; a cross blade then cuts off each layer at the set length to make cubes. Changing the grid and the feed length changes the size and shape of the cut, from fine dice to large chunks and long strips.

Overview

About slicers & dicers

Dicers handle fresh, cooked and tempered frozen products, including meat, bacon, ham, fat, cheese and vegetables. Machines with larger feed channels take whole logs and pre-formed blocks, and pre-cutting machines reduce large pieces of meat and fat for further processing. Slicing machines cut a product into slices of identical or varying thickness, and cheese cutting machines produce dice, sticks, flakes and shreds.

Diced, sliced and shredded ingredients go into pizza toppings, ready meals, salads, soups, sausages with visible inclusions, snack products and food service packs. Producers choose dicers by the size of product they need to take in, the cut sizes they need and the output of the line.
